The Final One
Well, this will be the last email I send out as a missionary. Time has blasted by since I first started. I used to write weekly emails that were just fun stories of things that happened, and try to make them as entertaining as possible. Then my emails slowly died out, and became less and less consistent. I think they also got so much shorter, and didn’t focus on the weird things we did as much.
The biggest change, though, was in myself. Over the course of two years, the focus of my mission went from just trying to have the best time I could, to trying to help others come closer to Jesus Christ. I would say I’m still somewhat the same person– I haven’t become boring Steve, the straight talk tomato eater, but I’ve grown a whole lot since the beginning.
The raffle explains it a lot better than I can, so be sure to go watch that video. I’ll put the link at the end. But thank you everyone for reading these! This won’t really be goodbye, since I’ll be able to have even more contact with everyone after I get home, so we won’t make this some big sad email.
I’ve loved being a missionary, though. I think it is genuinely impossible to explain what a mission is truly like. And even if you have served a mission, it will still be so incredibly unique to you. I would love to talk about my mission with anybody, so please just reach out and ask me what questions you have!
Thanks again everyone! I look forward to seeing you guys soon!
For the last time,
Over and Out
